So I decided to stay home and clean up the house a bit... it doesn't even look like I made a dent. Sorry folks... I refuse to add any photos... I don't want to frighten anyone. There is something good about purging... no, not in an anorexic way, but just getting rid of things you will probably never use (until you get rid of it). I think I'm a sentimental person so I keep a lot of stuff... even clothes. I really had to let go of some clothing that for some reason I kept... maybe because it was part of my past job or it was a gift from a special person. Having not worn it for years... why bother keeping it. Time to renew and refresh... I think it is part of living in the present... and it gives me an excuse to update the wardrobe (buy more crap). Yeah, I actually do enjoy shopping... then eat meat of course
Anyway... it was good to get rid of a few bags of clothes. I think I need to next get rid of some books... I don't think I'll need that Windows 95 handbook anymore or the 1997 book of email addresses... wow, imagine that! There was actually a time when there was a yellow pages for email addresses. Maybe I'll keep that one... might be worth something! See that is how it all gets started! And you end up getting rid of nothing. Well I guess with clothes, if you keep them long enough they go back in style... go figure.
Not much else other than purging... some gym time... and watching Bagger Vance with the guys... they wanted to see a movie that had some spirituality in it. I recommend it... especially to golfers. ttfn!

Contemporary and ultramodern with amenities up the yazoo. We hit the downtown art festival, which was pretty happening (too bad I got there late...), then went to check out dave's sister's condo. What a killer place... Check it out! It makes me feel guilty knowing so many people have so little, yet we live in such extravagance. It is so easy to get caught up in all the material stuff and comforts of life. What a struggle sometimes. I guess it is learning to appreciate what we have right now.

This evening kicks off a conference that is addressing the global slave trade. Most people are oblivious to the tragic and heart breaking problem of forced labor and sex slavery throughout the world. This conference hopes to bring awareness and opportunities to take action against modern day slavery and caring for those who have been freed. Conference runs Friday and Saturday at the UH campus center ballroom. Cost: $25. Friends dj and lynette enjoying themselves at the registration table.

I must be on a Mexican trip cause here I am eating Mexican food again. So my friend and web marketing guru Troy invited me to lunch to "talk shop." I always learn so much cool stuff from him... And he treated! My high school buddy Ian joined us too. Anyway... The conversation is always enlightening with Troy. I had my usual Mexican club and fries. Not sure what the other guys ordered. Food is good here... Medium priced with good service. If you like tequila, they have quite a selection. Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone with SprintSpeed

So it may look loco (spanish for crazy), but it is pretty tasty. I'm
eating a somewhat healthier version of the Hawaiian local food dish
called "loco moco," which generally consists of a hamburger patty,
grilled onions, and an over easy egg on top of rice... oh yeah...
smothered with brown gravy. Comfort food of course. I'm eating a
turkey moco from I Love Country Cafe Express. This version is made up
of a turkey/stuffing mixture, egg whites, and grilled onions over
brown rice... of course drowned in brown gravy. Just a wee bit
healthier... so I think. One of the more popular ways to consume this
meal is all mashed up. I'm an orderly and distinguished person, so I
eat it as is... but with a ton of Tabasco or chili sauce. Yeah... it
taste better than it looks or sounds... to each their own!
